This book can suck my non-existent dick. I'm not kidding. What a cop out ending to what could have been a perfectly fine novel. By "fine" I do mean "fine". Not "fantastic", not even "great", just "fine." Being someone who only vaguely knows about Henry VIII simply for his more popular atrocities (beheading a good deal of his wives) I was excited to pick this book up and maybe learn more. Historical fiction is just that, fiction, but there are plenty of historical fiction novels that have successfully pulled off intriguing and historically accurate. For a book about Henry's life childhood to death, this one sure as hell skimps on the details.
